MC14516B 同步正数/倒数二进制计数器在一个单片结构中使用 MOS P 沟道和 N 沟道增强模式器件构造。此计数器可通过对预设输入(P0、P1、P2、P3)应用所需的二进制值,然后将预设启用 (PE) 置于高电平,来进行预设。计数方向通过向 UP/DOWN 输入应用高电平(用于正数)或低电平(用于倒数)来进行控制。计数器的状态基于时钟输入的正向转换来变化。级联可通过对每个计数器进行并行计时的同时,将输出进位条与下一阶段的输入进位条相联接来完成。通过对重置 (R) 引脚应用高电平,可将输出(Q0、Q1、Q2、Q3)重置为低电平状态。此 CMOS 计数器主要用于正数/倒数和差异计数。其他应用包括: (1) 需要低功耗和/或高抗扰性的频率合成器应用,(2) 模拟-数字和数字-模拟转换,以及 (3) 量级和符号生成。
