The QCS-AX family is a Wi-Fi 6 based dual-band dual-concurrent chipset solution. The QCS-AX offers 2 unique architectures: 8x8 based on its predecessor QSR10G for highest performance and easy transition; 5x5 for mainstream applications. 802.11ax is the latest IEEE Wi-Fi specification, and key features include: orthogonal frequency-division multiple access (OFDMA) which enables high data transmission rates, less interference and improved performance with multiple users. Advanced MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multi-Input, Multi-Output) capability allows more efficient use of available bandwidth on a single network. The SmartScan with zero wait DFS (Dynamic Frequency Selection) offers superior 5GHz spectrum utilization and maximum performance in dense environments. In addition, Wi-Fi 6 improvements are increasingly more important in the era of Internet of Things.
