Recent adaptation of USB-C (Type-C) to smartphones for data transmission, power, and video on a single connector, enables faster charging and data rates up to 10 Gbps using a USB-C charging cable. While consumer enjoys one size, one end USB-C connector and cable, implementing USB-C designs includes challenges to meet requirements for compact size, thermal efficiencies, and low power consumption.
