CAT5112 是单数字 POT,适合用作机械电位计的电子替换品。适合大批量生产线的自动调整,也适用于需要定期调整的设备难以访问或位于危险或偏远环境中的应用。CAT5112 包含一个连接 RH 和 RL 两个终端的 32 抽头串联电阻阵列。由三个输入引脚控制的正数/倒数计数器和解码器,决定哪个抽头连接到弧刷 RW。CAT5112 弧刷通过轨对轨运行的运算放大器进行缓冲。储存在非易失性存储器中的弧刷设置在器件断电时不会丢失,并且在电源恢复后会自动调出。可调节弧刷以测试新的系统值,而不会影响储存的设置。CAT5112 的弧刷控制通过三个输入控制引脚 CS、U/D 和 INC 来完成。INC 输入按照 U/D 输入的逻辑状态所决定的方向推进弧刷。CS 输入用于选择器件,也用于存储断电之前的弧刷位置。该数字电位计可用作缓冲分压器。对于电位计用作 2 端子可变电阻的应用,请参考 CAT5114。CAT5112 的缓冲弧刷与该应用不兼容。
