Event Description

As a leader in intelligent power and sensing technologies, onsemi’s AR0822 is an innovative image sensor that produces extraordinarily high-quality 4K video at 60 frames-per-second.

Steve will demonstrate how the AR0822 is designed with embedded High Dynamic Range (eHDR) and optimized near-infrared (NIR) response features that are necessary for applications with harsh lighting conditions such as, consumer /commercial security cameras, robotics and industrial machine vision. The sensor also offers power-saving features such as Wake-on-Motion and motion compensation techniques.

Join us to learn how onsemi’s new 8 MP image sensor can help meet market trends with advanced imaging solutions.

Key Takeaways

The sensor has a unique capability called “Wake-on-Motion” that can intelligently detect motion and awake the system by itself.

The sensor is capable of up to 120 dB dynamic range to cover harsh lighting with built-in intelligent linearization for Motion Compensation and LED Flicker Reduction

Near-infrared (NIR) response allows for longer range and lower power IR imaging

4K video at 60 frames-per-second

Steve Harris

Sr. Director of Marketing for onsemi’s Image Sensor Group, Industrial and Commercial Sensing Division.

Steve Harris is the Sr. Director of Marketing for the onsemi Industrial and Commercial Sensing Division. He joined Aptina in June 2012 where he was the Product Line Manager for the security image sensor product line. During his three years as the Product Line Manager for security he oversaw a 3x growth in revenue, achieving number one market share. After the onsemi acquisition of Aptina, he transitioned into the Automotive Solutions Division as the ecosystem development manager, working with partners ranging from software, optics, SerDes vendors, and SoCs to achieve seamless operation across the image pipeline. Prior to Aptina / onsemi, Steve worked at Cypress Semiconductor as the lead Product Marketing Manager for USB 3.0 devices. This is where Steve developed his passion for the imaging industry, as these devices were interfacing primarily with image sensors. He studied at the University of Colorado-Boulder, graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
